In 1987, the parents of a severely handicapped child founded Ezer Mizion's Children's Division to provide support for other parents of children with disabilities. The Children's Division opened with a lending library for specialized pediatric physiotherapy equipment and a counseling service that informed parents of available resources that could help them provide better care for their special-needs child.
Today, the Ezer Mizion Children's Division is a national resource that provides a vast array of services for handicapped, high-risk and developmentally delayed children and their caregivers. It also works to alleviate the financial pressure, physical demands and emotional strain often experienced by children with special needs and their families.
