Ezer Mizion's Telelink Centers, trained volunteers initiate and maintain regular telephone contact with lonely, homebound elderly individuals, developing warm, personal relationships with them by conversing and showing a sincere interest in their wellbeing. This telephone communication provides elderly people with confidence that there is someone who takes an interest in them on a regular basis, and with whom they can share their day-to-day hardships and joys.

In addition to easing isolation and loneliness, the Telelink Centers also allow Ezer Mizion to detect signs of deteriorating health or other needs and arrange professional intervention when necessary.
