Massive Kimcha D'Pischa Campaign Throughout Israel (04/08)

Thanks to Ezer Mizion, disabled, sick, and elderly people were also able to enjoy the Seder and the holiday of redemption with joy.

Ezer Mizion branches throughout Israel carried out their annual massive Kimcha d'Pischa campaign, with the help of volunteers of all ages from every sector of the population, who helped collect and distribute food supplies for Pesach.

Hundreds of hot meals for the entire holiday were distributed to needy families in which a member is sick or physically challenged in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Petach Tikvah, Or Yehuda, Rehovot, Kiryat Gat, Netivot, Holon, Bat Yam, Modi'in Ilit and many other locations.

Other families received supermarket coupons valued at hundreds of shekels each (thanks to generous donors!), and yet thousands more families were given food baskets that included basic foodstuffs for Pesach such as matzas, oil, sugar, produce, etc.  The total value is estimated at NIS 2.5 million ($700,000). The products were donated by various food production companies or private donors.

Special sessions of Ezer Mizion's Beit Chana Activity Clubs for close to 100 special needs children were conducted before the holiday and continued throughout its duration.  Dedicated volunteers provided appealing activities for the children from early morning through the afternoon, enabling the parents to recharge their batteries and care for the rest of the family!

The Ambulance and Transport Division also worked overtime, making it possible for mobility impaired people to spend Pesach at the homes of their relatives.

Ezer Mizion expresses sincerest thanks to its many volunteers and donors whose caring and dedication have made it possible for the elderly, the physically challenged, and the sick to gather around the Seder table together with their loved ones in dignity and joy.
