Ezer Mizion at the forefront, promoting health maintenance awareness and preventive medicine through a positive lifestyle

As part of its goal to address health topics of interest to the elderly, Ezer Mizion's Malka Hager Fitness Center coordinated public lectures on the topic of memory enhancement. The exceptional success of the evenings is evident from the remarkable turnout - 100 men and over 400 women attended the lectures!

At the evening for men, Harav Moshe Stein, renowned dayan and lecturer, pointed out that our identity as Jews is based on our collective memory, and encouraged the audience by noting that steady involvement in Torah study provides crucial ongoing memory stimulus.

Dr. Alex Sapir, a geriatric expert with a specialty in memory enhancement at the Maccabbi Health Services, discussed the four memory systems and the common clinical disorders that can disrupt them, providing tips on how to preserve and enhance memory.

The women's evening was highlighted by a profound and informative lecture by Nitza Ayal, a clinical psychologist and leader in the field of memory maintenance. Ayal presented the various types of memory and coached the group on the optimal memory process - a three-step system of acquiring, storing and retrieving - guaranteed to ensure maximum memory retention. She concluded by offering practical tips and exercises to build up memory "muscles".

Kupat Cholim "Klalit" posted various booths offering information and on the topic and related services as well.

Many of the participants in these two unforgettable evenings joined ongoing workshops on memory stimulation as well as other health maintenance programs offered by Ezer Mizion's Malka Hager Fitness Center.

These events raise public awareness on health maintenance, and also offer the facilities and programs for implementation, serving as a catalyst for change and a breakthrough in the chareidi sector.
